Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to create value for our shareholders, employees, and communities in which we operate through the responsible production of tin for use in society, with commitment to health, safety, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
Our progress on the South Crofty underground tin mine project, is founded on a responsible approach to developing critical mineral assets in Cornwall, UK. This approach is centred on respect for our neighbouring communities, the environment, our employees, and our business partners. This approach remains an an important milestone for our Board Sustainability Committee, which provides leadership in the direction and implementation of our sustainability programme launched in early 2023.
For Cornish Metals, operating sustainably encompasses our efforts to act with integrity across the business, assessing and managing risk, minimising environmental and social impacts, and identifying opportunities to make a positive contribution to local communities, the environment, and the economy.
We recognise the importance of transparent and robust health and safety, environmental, social and governance (ESG) disclosure to all interested parties, including our investors. We have committed to a set of guiding principles for the integration of ESG into our business, as outlined in our Sustainability and ESG Policy and in the inaugural Sustainability Report, which reflects our interim Sustainability Strategy.
Our in-house team has made significant progress in this past year, systematically building a firm foundation for our sustainability programme.

Findings from our 2023 materiality assessment, together with our vision, mission and values statement, are guiding the prioritisation of sustainability-related topics during the development of our one-year sustainability strategy and ESG management framework. We will continue to share details of our approach and progress as the South Crofty project evolves.
