Join the team at South Crofty Mine
Cornish Metals plc is recruiting two Industrial Infrastructure Technicians to join the team at the South Crofty Mine in Cornwall as we progress the redevelopment of one of the world’s highest-grade tin mines. Reporting to the IT/OT Manager, you’ll install the cabling and equipment that carries data, communications, safety and operational technology systems across surface and underground operations. The focus is first-fix work. This includes cable containment, cable routing, cabinet mounting and equipment installation, including CCTV, access control and personnel tracking systems. You’ll work alongside specialist contractors who carry out terminations, fibre splicing, testing and commissioning.
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience of industrial electrical, communications or infrastructure installation, including cable containment and cable pulling. You’ll also need a good understanding of life safety, CCTV and communication systems. Mining, quarrying or heavy industrial experience would be an advantage. A full UK driving licence is essential. We’ll provide training in site vehicle and telehandler operation, working at height and confined spaces.
