Cornish Metals is proud to publish its inaugural Sustainability Report for the 2024 reporting year, prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.
This marks an important step in formalising our sustainability approach and providing greater visibility into how we manage our environmental, social and governance responsibilities. As a relatively small team, we have always upheld high standards – especially when it comes to health and safety, environment and community engagement. As we advance South Crofty toward the execution phase, we recognise the importance of building a structured process for enhanced reporting.
This report outlines our approach to governance, social responsibility and environmental stewardship. It identifies our material sustainability-related impacts, risks and opportunities and describes the actions we are taking to address them. Our sustainability objectives and priorities have been shaped by a double materiality assessment conducted in late 2023, ensuring that we focus on the issues most relevant to both our stakeholders and our business.
We believe that responsible mining plays a critical role not only in supporting local government initiatives and the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future, but also in maintaining our social licence to operate.
This report reflects our commitment to continuous improvement, transparency and accountability across all aspects of our business. We invite all stakeholders to explore our journey and progress.
