We are committed to safeguarding the health and safety of our employees, contractors and visitors. We work to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions and follow operating procedures and risk assessments that safeguard the people working at, or visiting, our operations. We consider compliance with applicable health and safety laws and regulations as a minimum standard. 

We are also committed to conducting our activities in a manner that protects the health and safety of the communities in which we work and following operating procedures that safeguard our neighbours.

• We maintain a full occupational health and safety regulatory compliance record.
• We provide regular health and safety training for our employees, including underground working, mine rescue and handling hazardous substances.
• Our site activities are conducted in accordance with risk-based written protocols for safe working.
• We develop health and safety Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) and monitor industry standard lagging and leading indicators.
• We maintain an Emergency Response Plan for the mine and are in the process of formalizing procedures for the water treatment plant. 

We are working to expand the scope of our health and safety data collection beyond regulatory requirements, positioning us for transparent public reporting of our health and safety performance in the future.
