Don Turvey
Chief Executive Officer and Director
Don Turvey is an experienced mining executive with more than 40 years of experience in the sector, including senior management roles in production, project execution, business development, and minerals resource management. Since 2008, Don has been CEO of private, ASX and AIM-listed mining companies where he has successfully funded and taken new projects and historic mines to production, as well as leading a number of M&A transactions. Prior to this, Don spent over 20 years at BHP Billiton, in roles including General Manager and Vice President Project Development where he headed up the project, geological, mineral resource and financial analyst teams. Don holds a Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Pretoria, and a Masters in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.
Matthew Hird
Chief Financial Officer
Matthew Hird is an experienced finance professional from the natural resources sector who brings a wealth of expertise in driving the strategic analysis, financing, reporting and governance of mining companies. Matthew spent over eight years at Kaz Minerals plc, the FTSE 250 copper producer, including six years as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his appointment at Kaz Minerals plc, he was Company Secretary and Group Reporting Manager at Vedanta Resources plc. He has also served as Chief Financial Officer at African Minerals Limited and more recently as Chief Financial Officer at Sierra Rutile Limited until its acquisition by Iluka Resources Limited. Prior to his work in the natural resources sector, he spent nine years at Deloitte. Matthew is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MA in Natural Sciences (Geological Sciences) from the University of Cambridge.
Fawzi Hanano
Chief Development Officer
Fawzi Hanano is a finance professional with over 20 years of experience in the natural resources sector gained in the mining industry and at global investment banks. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in investor relations, capital markets and corporate strategy. He was previously Head of Investor Relations and Communications at SolGold plc, an LSE and TSX-listed copper and gold developer. Fawzi’s experience also includes over a dozen years in mining equity research, where he covered global large and small cap miners and underlying commodities at a number of top investment banks, including Goldman Sachs, UBS, HSBC, Macquarie and Berenberg, where he authored proprietary research reports on global base metals and bulk commodity projects that were a primary reference for investors and industry players. Fawzi started his mining sector career at Rio Tinto in 2002 and held roles in business development and strategy within the industrial minerals division and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) from McGill University.
Dave Howe

Dave Howe has 35 years of open pit and hard rock underground mining (including narrow vein) operational and exploration experience, of which 24 years were in executive and senior management roles, including General Manager, Country Manager, Exploration Manager and Vice President Operations. He has a strong track record of safety performance, change management, technical improvement and mine optimisation. Dave has experience in rehabilitating old previously operating mines, including drilling, dewatering and developing them back into successful operations and has operated diferent narrow vein mines whilst working as Vice President Operations with Hecla in Venezuela (Minera Hecla Venezolana), Endeavour Silver Corp in Mexico and his previous position as Vice President Operatins for Canada, Mexico and Chile at Pan American Silver Crporation. He holds a Master's degree in Mining Geology from the Camborne School of Mines and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Oxford Brooks University.
Guillermo Alcazar
Project Director
Guillermo Alcazar is a project executive with over two decades of global experience leading and overseeing a multimillion-dollar complex portfolio of mining, heavy industrial and infrastructure projects across diverse development stages. Strategic capital project leadership and proficiency in translating vision into execution, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies and optimising project performance. Guillermo's experience includes project leadership roles for Eldorado Gold in Greece and First Majestic Silver's capital project initiatives where he served as Director, Infrastructure Projects. Most recently Guillermo was Group Manager Western Canada for Technical Management Group Ltd. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.
